This is the reason...

One of my proudest moments was when I swam Robben Island to Bloubergstrand with my daughter in December 2025. Swimming in the cold Atlantic Ocean had never on my sporting radar. I was training for a 70.3 Triathlon when I met a new swim coach. One day I was learning to swim in a squad. Eighteen months later I was pushing off from Robben Island to swim 7.4km in 14-degree water.

Three-odd hours later, when we were on the beach, I wanted a cap that showed my pride. When I couldn't find one, I knew that it was time to create a brand worthy of one of the toughest open-water swims on Earth.
